Taking care of fellow Malaysians. Two homes - Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang and Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda, Selangor - received a variety of food and hygiene items from Rockwills as part of the company’s recent food collection drive
Malaysians have risen to the occasion once again, underscoring their generosity of spirit with their overwhelming response to the recent Rockwills Food Collection Drive.
Over 1,000 foodstuff, personal hygiene and medical items, including 800kg of rice, were donated and handed over to approximately 65 children from two homes -- Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang and Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda, Selangor. The two centres cater to children with development challenges.
Sam Chan (Assistant General Manager of Rockwills Corporation) and Jason Tham, (Senior General Manager of Rockwills Business Services) handed over the items to Gunasekaran A/Maran and Ngoh Kok Meng of Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Ekliptik and Steven Wong of Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda Selangor.
Tan Mei Yin, CEO of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd revealed that much of the support for the Drive came from Rockwills’ strong corps of estate planners, dedicated staff and the public. “We are most grateful that our teams of estate planners have been most supportive. We hope that our donation will help the centres to offset a portion of their monthly food and personal items bills in these challenging times.”
Food items collected include Milo, milk powder, cooking oil, instant noodles, and rice. Also donated were non-food items such as Tiger Balm, VapoRub, toothpaste and detergent.
